Diagnostic first. Always. Scope written down before any money changes hands.
Every engagement follows the same pattern. We map the problem, agree the fix in writing, then build. No timesheets. No surprises.
Four ways to work with us. One process.
Every engagement starts the same way and runs through the same steps. The shape is the bit that changes.
Strategy call.
A short call to map the part of your business you suspect needs help. No commitment, no proposal sent unprompted. If there is no fit, we say so.
Diagnostic engagement.
The audit method, run inside your business. We look at the surfaces that have gone quiet and the ones that have drifted. Output: a written scope and a clear recommendation.
Project build.
The build phase. Scoped from the diagnostic, quoted in USD before any work starts. You see the number, agree it, and we build to the written scope.
Care package.
Ongoing support for businesses that want hands-on backup as the system runs. Optional, post-project. Monthly retainer with a defined scope of cover.
How an engagement actually unfolds.
Five steps. Same shape every time. The diagnostic always comes first, because pricing a build before scoping it is how engagements get expensive in ways nobody wanted.
Strategy call.
Thirty minutes, free, no commitment. We map the part of your business you suspect needs help, and tell you whether we are the right fit.
Diagnostic proposal.
If there is a fit, we propose a diagnostic engagement. Fixed price, written scope, and a clear list of what the diagnostic will produce. You see the number before you sign.
Diagnostic delivered.
We run the diagnostic inside your business. Output: a written report, a recommended scope, and a fixed price for the build. If you do not want to build with us after that, you keep the report. No pressure.
Project build.
If you want the build, we quote it from the diagnostic scope. Fixed price, written milestones, days to months depending on the work. You see the number before any build work starts.
Optional care package.
After the build, you can pick up a monthly care package for ongoing support. Optional. Some clients take it for six months, some for years, some never. It is not part of the project price.
Four pricing principles.
We do not bill by the hour, we do not surprise you with overages, and we do not start work until the number is agreed in writing.
Fixed price.
No timesheets. No hourly billing. The price is what you see in the written scope, and that is what we invoice.
Scoped after the diagnostic.
We never quote a build before we have run the diagnostic. Pricing without scope is how engagements end up expensive in ways nobody expected.
Quoted in USD.
All engagements priced and invoiced in US dollars. Indonesian clients can settle in IDR at the prevailing rate; we agree the rate in writing at signing.
Care packages by the month.
Retainers run month to month with a defined scope of cover. You can pause or end at the end of any monthly cycle.
What founders say after the build.
Three things we hear most often. One is about pace, one is about clarity, one is about the diagnostic itself doing the heavy lifting.
They came in, looked at our entire operation, and within weeks everything just worked. Invoicing, reporting, client tracking, all automatic. My team went from firefighting every day to actually enjoying their jobs. I genuinely did not think it was possible to change that fast.
James . Managing Director, Hospitality Group
Three companies, three sets of books, three different stories every Monday. Now I open one dashboard and I know exactly where each entity stands. The first time my finance team handed me a consolidated P&L without two weeks of compilation, I actually paused. I hadn't seen the business that clearly in years.
Bayu . Co-founder, hospitality and F&B group, Jakarta
He did not start by telling us what to buy. He started by mapping what we were already doing, then named the problem in writing before any build work began. By the time we agreed the project, the diagnostic had already changed the way I think about our operations. The build was the cheapest part of the engagement.
Founder . Multi-site venue group
Voices from real engagements, edited gently and the third kept anonymous to respect client confidentiality.
Who we work best with.
We are not for everyone, and saying so up front saves both sides time.
- Founder-led companies where the founder still touches operations.
- Operations-heavy businesses with at least one process that has drifted and is now costing real time.
- Teams that want a system they own, not a tool they rent.
- Clients based in Europe, the US, or Asia. Bali-based delivery; remote-first; on-site visits when the work calls for them.
- Founders who would rather pay for a diagnostic first than for a build that turns into a surprise.
The questions we get most often.
Seven things prospects ask on the first call. Putting them in writing here saves both sides the same conversation eight times.
How long does a typical engagement take?
Strategy call is thirty minutes. The diagnostic engagement is usually a few days to two weeks, depending on the size of the business and what we are looking at. The build that follows can be days to months, scoped from the diagnostic. We sequence so that nothing starts before its scope is on paper.
Can I just pay for the diagnostic and stop there?
Yes. The diagnostic is its own engagement, with its own fixed price and its own written output. If you do not want to build with us afterwards, you keep the report and the recommendation. We will not pressure you on the call where we hand it over.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, before the diagnostic, no question. Most of the diagnostic is us looking at things you would not want copied. The NDA goes both ways.
What size business do you work best with?
Founder-led businesses where the founder still touches operations. From a few-person team running on too many tools, to mid-market organisations with multi-entity complexity and a finance lead who has stopped trusting the numbers. The shape changes; the pattern is the same.
What is the smallest engagement you take?
A diagnostic. Below that we cannot give you enough value to justify the cost on either side. If the diagnostic is too big for your current need, the right answer is probably to read the field notes, run the audit method yourself, and come back when you want help with what you find.
Do you work remotely or on-site?
Remote-first from Bali. We do most of the diagnostic and the build over video, shared documents, and async writing. On-site visits where the work actually calls for them; billed at cost, scoped in advance, never speculative.
What happens after I book the strategy call?
You get a calendar invite with a Google Meet link, plus a short note asking what you want to talk about. Bring one specific operational problem you suspect needs help. Thirty minutes, no slides, no commitment. If there is a fit we propose a diagnostic; if there is not, we say so and refer you on if we can.
Start with the strategy call.
Thirty minutes. Free. We map the part of your business that is leaking time, name the system that should own it, and tell you whether you need us to build it or whether you can do it yourself.
